abstract (57) [Object] To provide a method for synthesizing aluminoxane useful as a catalyst component for olefin polymerization in a good yield, and to industrially produce a high-quality olefin polymer using this catalyst component. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing an advantage efficiently and at a low cost. The reaction between trialkylaluminum and water is carried out in a two-step reaction under certain conditions.
