| abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition for a plasma display panel which can be formed by a simple manufacturing process, has excellent flatness and can be miniaturized, and a method for manufacturing the same. An airtight structure is provided in which a pair of insulating substrates are opposed to each other, a partition wall and a plurality of electrode groups are formed between the insulating substrates to form a space serving as a minute discharge display cell, and a dischargeable gas is sealed in the space. A plasma display panel is formed and generates plasma by discharge between the electrodes, and the plasma in the discharge display cell emits light with the plasma to serve as a light emitting element of a screen, wherein the partition walls contain a fluorine-containing aromatic resin.
