titleOfInvention Contour detection method in X-ray image
abstract (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for automatically detecting, for example, a contour of a shutter or an implant in an X-ray image. A number of closed paths are derived from an X-ray image, and one of the closed paths is selected as a contour depending on the contrast along the closed path. The closed path is derived from a pair of (straight) line candidates where the contour pixel candidates are located. Contour pixel candidates are derived from the high or gradient version of the X-ray image.
