abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide an ink jet recording medium exhibiting a high level of image recording quality and color stability. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording medium coated with an ink receiving layer containing at least a pigment and a binder resin on a support, the ink receiving layer has a degree of saponification of 85.0 as a color stability improving component. ~ 73.0 mol%, A partially saponified PVA having a degree of polymerization of 300 to 1500 is contained.
