titleOfInvention | Novel polymerizable optically active substance using β-estradiol or methylandrostenediol as a raw material, optically active liquid crystal composition containing the same, optically active liquid crystal polymer network |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable optically active substance for an optically active liquid crystal polymer network by a relatively easy synthesis method. SOLUTION: By introducing a substituent having a polymerizable group into a hydroxyl group of β-estradiol or methylandrostenediol, a bifunctional polymerizable optically active substance can be synthesized relatively easily. The polymerizable optically active substance is used by mixing it with a liquid crystal composition to form an optically active liquid crystal composition, or by polymerizing this to form an optically active liquid crystal polymer network. |
