abstract (57) [Abstract] (Modified) [Problem] A partition wall forming material which is excellent in chemical resistance, mechanical properties, substrate adhesion and shape retention, and can obtain a highly accurate partition wall, is excellent in productivity and workability. The present invention also provides a method of manufacturing a partition and a plasma display panel of a plasma display panel capable of manufacturing a high-precision partition with good yield, a chemical resistance, mechanical properties, and a method of manufacturing a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: General formula (I) (Wherein, R represents an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms) containing a substituent represented by the above general formula (I) such that the hydroxyl value of the substituent represented by the formula is 1 to 10 mgKOH / g. A partition forming material containing an acrylic resin, an inorganic material and an organic solvent, a partition forming material is embedded in a gap between resin patterns formed on a substrate and dried, and the resin pattern is removed to form a partition forming material. Is formed and fired to form a partition.
