abstract |
(57) [Problem] To provide an electrophoretic display device that realizes a long-term stable memory property without requiring switching control in an open state regardless of electrode-holding charges. SOLUTION: A colored insulating liquid 6 and a green colored liquid 6 are provided. The colored charged particles 7 dispersed therein are held in a closed space surrounded by the transparent display substrate 1, the counter substrate 2, and the partition 3. A transparent electrode 4 is disposed on the transparent display substrate 1 in each closed space, and a counter electrode 5 is disposed on the counter substrate 2. On the transparent electrode 4 and the counter electrode 5, a fixing surface 14 on which the colored charged particles 7 gather is formed. An electrophoretic display device having a fixing layer 14 on which an adhesive layer 8 capable of repeatedly adsorbing and peeling colored charged particles is disposed. |
