The ratio of the major axis to the minor axis is 3 when the major axis is less than 5 μm. These particles are potassium titanate fine particles having a number ratio of 70 to 100% or more, a low diffraction intensity in X-ray diffraction, low crystallinity, and a specific surface area of 20 to 50 m 2 / g.
