titleOfInvention Aptamers that specifically recognize chitin
abstract (57) Abstract: A single-stranded nucleic acid aptamer capable of specifically recognizing chitin. The aptamer has a guanine-rich cluster portion in the sequence and a pair of oppositely complementary sequences that can form a hairpin structure before and after it. Also provided are other chitin-specific aptamers that do not have the above sequence characteristics. [Effects] The aptamer of the present invention can specifically recognize chitin and its constituent unit, chitin oligosaccharide. Therefore, detection and quantification of these substances, research on the physiological functions of these substances, It is extremely useful for diagnosis or treatment of related diseases and disorders.
