titleOfInvention Low speed filling die casting method and apparatus
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-speed filling die-casting method which has a runner having a sufficient cross-sectional area for directional solidification without air entrapment in an injection process and in which an oxide film of a molten metal is not mixed in a cavity. And an apparatus. SOLUTION: In a die casting method in which a molten metal is pushed up in a vertical direction and a molten metal 7 is slowly filled into a cavity 2 of a mold 5 through a runner 3 from a runner inlet 4 in a direction orthogonal to the vertical direction, the runner inlet 4 is provided. And a step of filling the cavity 2 with the molten metal 7 with at least the weir 6 interposed therebetween. Due to the presence of the weir 6, the oxide film 7 a on the upper surface of the molten metal 7 does not flow into the cavity 2, and the rise of the molten metal 7 at the runner inlet 4 is significantly higher than that without the weir 6 due to the weir 6. The molten metal 7 flows out from the lower end portion, gradually enters the cavity 2 from the runner inlet 4 through the runner 3, and the filling of the molten metal 7 is completed before the oxide film 7a enters the cavity 2.
