abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a positive electrode active material for an alkaline secondary battery having a high utilization factor. SOLUTION: Particles composed mainly of nickel hydroxide and particles of metallic cobalt or a cobalt compound, or Particles having metallic cobalt or a cobalt compound adhered to the surface of particles mainly composed of nickel hydroxide are mixed with a chopper blade 4 having a horizontally rotating stirring blade 3 at the bottom 1b and a vertically rotating inner wall 1c. A method for producing a positive electrode active material for an alkaline secondary battery, wherein stirring and mixing are performed while performing heat treatment in the presence of oxygen and an aqueous alkali solution in a mixer having a closed structure provided. |
