abstract | [57] [Problem] As a raw material for a flocculant, an antistatic agent, a soil improver, a conductive processing agent, a dye improver, a paper strength enhancer, a paper drainage improver, a cosmetic, a resin modifier and the like. Provided is a method for obtaining an aqueous solution of an unsaturated quaternary ammonium salt, which is a widely used and useful monomer, in a high quality simply and industrially inexpensively with a small amount of (meth) acrylic acid and unreacted (meth) acrylate. SOLUTION: An alkyl halide is directly introduced into a (meth) acrylic acid ester, and when the introduction amount of the alkyl halide becomes 10 to 100% of the total amount, the addition of water is started, and a highly pure unsaturated A quaternary ammonium salt aqueous solution is produced. |
