PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an aldehyde by reacting an olefinic compound with oxo gas using a rhodium complex catalyst having an organic phosphite as a ligand, and to separate the aldehyde from the reaction product liquid and to leave the remaining rhodium. In a method for producing an aldehyde in which a reaction medium containing a catalyst is circulated and used as a catalyst liquid in a reaction, the catalyst is used for a long period of time while preventing a decrease in catalytic activity. SOLUTION: Separation of an aldehyde from a reaction product solution is performed so that an aldehyde concentration in a circulating catalyst solution is 0.5% by weight or more. |
