abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cement admixture having good resistance to material separation and excellent fluidity. SOLUTION: A polymer (A) containing a structural unit (I) represented by the following general formula (1) as an essential structural unit, and a carbon number having a hydrocarbon group having 5 to 30 carbon atoms at a terminal. A method for producing a cement admixture, which comprises reacting a polyalkylene glycol having 2 to 18 oxyalkylene groups introduced therein.
