titleOfInvention | Protozoan inspection methods |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a test method that can be used in the field of water treatment and that accurately and easily quantitatively evaluates the abundance of infectious protozoa. SOLUTION: The protozoan test method using cultured cells, which has been proposed as a technique for screening a drug for use in the treatment of protozoan infections, has been improved to increase the detection sensitivity. That is, after adding a water sample to be tested to the medium of the cultured cells that have been cultured in advance and infecting the cultured cells with the protozoa in the water sample, the culture is continued for a predetermined time to allow the protozoa to parasitize the cultured cells. Proliferates are grown and detected and quantified by the enzyme antibody method. |
