Thermal transfer recording method, thermal transfer recording ink sheet |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To form an image having high image quality and excellent image storability and high gloss even when high heat energy is applied. When forming an image by the sublimation thermal transfer method using a chelate-reactive dye, high image quality, high image storability and high gloss image formation can be achieved even when a thermal head is applied with high thermal energy. To do. SOLUTION: An ink layer of an ink sheet having at least one ink layer containing a heat diffusible dye on a support and an image receiving layer of an image receiving sheet having at least one image receiving layer on a separate support face each other. After the dye is transferred to the image receiving layer by imagewise heating with a thermal head as described above, at least the entire area of the image receiving sheet where the dye has been transferred is subjected to a reheating process with a thermal head to form an image. In the thermal transfer recording method, the temperature of the surface of the resistor of the thermal head in the reheating process is one of the peak temperature. A thermal transfer recording method characterized in that the non-energizing time interval is set to a certain value or less so as not to become / 3 or less. |
