(57) [Problem] To provide an electrophotographic photosensitive member excellent in light fatigue characteristics. SOLUTION: A charge transporting substance in a photosensitive layer that satisfies one of the following conditions is used. (1) It has eight or more π electrons having no aromaticity and has a fluorescence yield Φ of 1>Φ> 0.1 in a diluted THF solution. 3.
