titleOfInvention | Manufacturing method of plastic optical fiber preform |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical fiber (PO) An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a plastic optical fiber preform that can further reduce the transmission loss of F). SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a base material 10 having a core part 2 and a clad part 1, wherein a polymerizable material 4 is polymerized, and the polymerizable material 4 is heated at a temperature not lower than the drawing temperature of the base material 10. The polymerizable material 6 is polymerized under the pressurized pressure to polymerize the unpolymerized monomer 5 in the polymerizable material 4, and the polymerizable material 6 is polymerized. The pressure is applied while heating, and the unpolymerized monomer 7 in the polymerizable material 6 is polymerized under the applied pressure to form the core portion 2. In this case, the volatilization of the unpolymerized monomer 5 in the polymerizable material 4 is prevented, the unpolymerized monomer 5 can be efficiently polymerized, and the clad portion 1 with sufficiently reduced voids can be obtained. Similarly, the core portion 2 with sufficiently reduced voids is obtained. |
