abstract (57) Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing a plasma display substrate having excellent characteristics at a high yield and at low cost. A plasma display includes a step of forming a dielectric layer coating film composed of an inorganic component and an organic component and a partition pattern on a substrate in this order, and simultaneously firing both to form a dielectric layer and a partition layer. A method of manufacturing a substrate, wherein each of the inorganic components forming the dielectric layer and the partition layer is mainly composed of glass, and the softening point of the glass forming the dielectric layer is softening of the glass forming the partition layer. This is achieved by a method for manufacturing a substrate for a plasma display, which is lower than the above point.
