abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously discharge an ink and a colorless and transparent recording treatment liquid, mix them on a recording medium, fix the ink on the recording medium, and improve the water resistance of the ink. The present invention provides a method for accurately inspecting the discharge state of the recording processing liquid in an ink jet recording apparatus for preventing bleeding, and a discharge inspection film used in the method. SOLUTION: On a film substrate, a discharge test film comprising a recording treatment liquid receiving layer formed by dispersing a coloring compound such as bromothymol blue which changes color by a pH change in a binder component such as a resin is used. By discharging the recording processing liquid to change its color, the landing position of the recording processing liquid is visually confirmed, and the quality of the discharging state is determined.
