abstract (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a novel printing ink resin which does not contain any formaldehyde and has good offset printing characteristics. SOLUTION: To a mixture containing a polymerized rosin and a dimer acid, a polyhydric alcohol is added in a ratio of 0.5 to 1.5 equivalents to 1 equivalent of the carboxylic acid of the polymerized rosin and the dimer acid to perform esterification. Resin for printing ink obtained by reaction.
