abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water-dispersed pressure-sensitive adhesive composition having excellent water resistance as well as adhesive properties such as adhesive strength and holding power. SOLUTION: An aqueous dispersion of a carboxyl group-neutralized acrylic-modified polyurethane having a neutralized carboxyl group is obtained from a polyol, a carboxyl group-containing acrylic polyol and a polyisocyanate as starting materials. A polymer having a glass transition temperature of 250 K or lower is added to a polymer having an alkyl acrylate as a main monomer and polymerized, and the glass transition temperature is 250 K or lower with respect to 2 to 98% by weight of the acrylic-modified polyurethane. A method for producing a water-dispersed pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, comprising producing 98 to 2% by weight of an acrylic polymer.
