(57) [Problem] To stabilize the molecular weight of a silicate compound and to stabilize a resin composition for coatings containing the silicate compound. A silicate compound is compounded with a specific hydrolyzable silicon compound monomer, a specific hydrolyzable ester compound and, if necessary, an alcohol having 1 to 8 carbon atoms in a specific ratio. It is possible to prevent the silicate compound from becoming higher in molecular weight due to hydrolysis and condensation, and to prevent clouding, thickening, cracking of the coating film, gloss reduction, and the like of the coating resin composition. |
