abstract | [PROBLEMS] To provide an aromatic vinyl compound with high productivity using a catalyst containing a transition metal imine compound having excellent polymerization activity. To provide a production method by which an α-olefin copolymer can be obtained. (A) a specific transition metal imine compound, (B) at least one selected from the group consisting of (B-1) an organometallic compound, (B-2) an organoaluminum oxy compound, and (B-3) a compound which reacts with the transition metal imine compound (A) to form an ion pair. In the presence of a catalyst consisting of A method for producing an aromatic vinyl compound / α-olefin copolymer, comprising copolymerizing an aromatic vinyl compound and an α-olefin. |
