titleOfInvention | Laser thermal transfer recording method |
abstract | (57) Abstract: In an exposure recording apparatus used for a photothermal conversion type ink sheet suitable for producing a transfer type high-definition image, a color proof, etc., it is possible to reliably detect an end, reduce material loss, and prevent blocking. To provide a laser thermal transfer recording method which can prevent image defects and is effective in preventing transport troubles. A roll-shaped ink sheet having an ink layer surface wound outward and a roll-shaped image receiving sheet having an image receiving layer surface wound outward are fed to an exposure recording apparatus and cut to a predetermined length. The ink sheet 3 and the image receiving sheet 4 are superimposed on each other so that the surface having the ink layer and the surface having the image receiving layer face each other, held on the exposure drum 7 of the exposure recording apparatus, and irradiated with a laser beam corresponding to image information. In a laser thermal transfer recording method in which a laser beam is absorbed by the ink sheet 3 and converted into heat, and an image is transferred and formed on the image receiving sheet 4 by the converted heat, at least one of the ink sheet 3 and the image receiving sheet 4 is subjected to exposure recording. The apparatus has an end detection mark detectable by the device, and the end detection mark is optically detected. |
