abstract (57) [Summary] In a charging device for charging a secondary battery, a reference voltage is accurately applied between both terminals of the secondary battery without being affected by a voltage drop based on contact resistance during constant voltage control. To provide a control method of the charger to be controlled. In a charging device for charging a secondary battery pack by terminal contact, a voltage detection terminal is provided separately from a charging terminal for voltage detection of the secondary battery, and is not affected by a voltage drop due to a charging current. The voltage detection terminal detects the voltage value of the secondary battery, and performs constant voltage control so that the voltage value becomes equal to the set voltage.
