abstract | (57) [Summary] [Problem] To provide a lithographic printing plate having excellent printability by a simple method, to be selectively, rapidly, easily and easily developed by an ecological method, and to have a high infrared sensitivity. A heat mode imaging element having a large difference in developability between exposed and non-exposed areas. According to the present invention, there is provided a lithographic printing base having a hydrophilic surface and a top layer which is sensitive to IR-rays, comprises a polymer soluble in an aqueous alkaline solution, and is impermeable to an aqueous alkaline developer.
