titleOfInvention | Brilliant wet developer and method for producing the same |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a wet developer in which toner particles excellent in brilliancy and chargeability are favorably dispersed. Further, a wet developer having a desired glitter can be produced while maintaining the glitter originally possessed by the glitter pigment used as a starting material as it is or intentionally adjusting it. SOLUTION: This is a wet developer in which a copolymer resin particle containing a glitter pigment is dispersed in an electrically insulating dispersion medium. (I) The SP value δp 1 of the homopolymer composed of only the first monomer unit of the copolymer resin and the SP value δ of the dispersion medium d (δp 1 −δd) is not less than 1.0 and (i i) The difference Δ (δp 2 −δd) between the SP value δp 2 of the homopolymer composed only of the second monomer unit of the copolymer resin and the SP value δd of the dispersion medium is 1.0 or less, and (iii) The difference Δ (δp 1 −δp 2 ) between δp 1 and δp 2 is 0.5 or more. The brilliant pigment in the wet developer has a particle size distribution containing particles having a particle size of 10 μm or more. The intensity and time of stirring are limited so that the glitter pigment is not destroyed during the production of the wet developer. |
