titleOfInvention Biological denitrification of nitric acid wastewater
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] When biologically denitrifying nitrate ions in nitric acid wastewater, reduce the amount of excess sludge and remove excess ammonia in the wastewater to keep the quality of the wastewater within an acceptable range. To be maintained. SOLUTION: Wastewater containing nitrate ions is neutralized with an alkali and then biologically denitrified. The excess sludge generated at that time is returned to the nitrate ion-containing wastewater before the neutralization treatment to dissolve the excess sludge. A step of removing ammonia generated from excess sludge during the dissolution from the wastewater is added. In particular, ammonia can be effectively removed by providing a COD oxidation treatment tank after the biological denitrification treatment and returning the wastewater on the outlet side to the biological denitrification treatment.
