titleOfInvention | Metal vapor discharge lamp |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal vapor discharge lamp having a ceramic arc tube provided at both ends with a thin tubular protruding portion sealed with a current introducing body, even if repetition of lighting and extinguishing is applied to the thin tubular protruding portion. It is configured to prevent the occurrence of cracks. SOLUTION: A ceramic protrusion 2 having an outer diameter smaller than that of the discharge vessel 1 is provided at both ends of a discharge vessel 1, and an end of an electrode core rod 5 is welded to a tip closing portion 3a inside the protrusion. A thin-walled molybdenum tube is inserted and arranged via a minute gap, and a gap between the inner wall surface of the ceramic protrusion and the outer peripheral surface of the molybdenum tube is sealed with a frit layer 8 to form a ceramic arc tube. |
