Method for hydroxylating aromatic compounds |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Problems] Conventional silicate-based molecular sieves such as iron silicate are used as catalysts for hydroxylation of aromatic compounds with nitrous oxide, but these catalysts are acid catalysts. The acid reaction becomes a side reaction and the selectivity is extremely low. The selectivity is improved by using a catalyst containing iron and phosphorus having substantially no acid sites. |
