(57) [Problem] To effectively remove a thin film made of a metal or a metal compound on a substrate such as glass or ceramic by an easy means. SOLUTION: In a method for removing a thin film made of a metal or a compound thereof coated on the surface of a glass or ceramic substrate, an acidic sulfate is brought into contact with a desired removal portion of the thin film, and heated to a melting point of the acidic sulfate or higher. And then melt it together with the thin film, and then, after cooling, wash the part to remove the thin film. |
