titleOfInvention | Radioactive waste treatment method and treatment device |
abstract | (57) [Summary] Ag can reduce the amount of used ion exchange material. Disclosed is a method for treating radioactive waste using an electrolyte containing 2+ . SOLUTION: A nitric acid solution containing Ag 2+ is brought into contact with U, Pu and Np attached to a filter in a reaction tank 1 to form Ag. These elements are dissolved in the nitric acid solution by the action of 2+ . Ag 2+ in the nitric acid solution containing dissolved elements is reduced to Ag + in the cathode chamber 7 of the main electrolytic cell 2 where the cathode 9 is installed. From the nitric acid solution discharged from the cathode chamber 7, the ion exchange tower 3 Remove those elements with ion exchange material inside. In the anode chamber 6 which the anode 8 of the main electrolytic cell 2 is installed, to oxidize the Ag + contained in the nitric acid solution in the Ag 2+. Since the removal amount of Ag 2+ by the ion exchange material can be significantly reduced, the life of the ion exchange material is extended, and the generation amount of the used ion exchange material is significantly reduced. |
