abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modifications) [Problem] To control a bonding structure of a conjugated diene caused by a polar compound in producing a block copolymer by copolymerizing an aromatic vinyl compound and a conjugated diene using a dilithium initiator. Polymerization method not subject to SOLUTION: A block copolymer is prepared by using a dilithium initiator obtained by reacting a monoorganic lithium compound and a compound having two vinyl groups directly bonded to a benzene ring in a nonpolar hydrocarbon solvent at a molar ratio of 2/1. In the production, a π-complexed compound consisting of a benzene ring compound having a substituent is present in a molar ratio of the π-complexed compound to the monoorganic lithium compound in the range of 1/10 to 1000/1, and the range of −20 to 60 is obtained. A method for producing a block copolymer in which a dilithium compound is synthesized at a temperature of 0 ° C, and the compound is used as an initiator to copolymerize a conjugated diene and an aromatic vinyl compound in a nonpolar hydrocarbon solvent at 0 to 120 ° C. |
