abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for preserving an isolated organ which is applied to an isolated organ of a mammal and enables long-term preservation thereof. SOLUTION: An extirpated organ of a mammal subjected to dehydration treatment is immersed in an inert medium insoluble in water and oil, for example, perfluorocarbon, silicone oil or the like, and maintained at a refrigeration temperature.
