abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide an ink composition for direct plate making by ink jet recording system excellent in resolution, oil sensitivity and printing durability, and a direct plate making method using the same. SOLUTION: A direct plate making in which an oil-sensitive image is formed by ink jet recording on a surface of an original plate provided with a resin layer containing zinc oxide or titanium oxide on a support, and a non-image portion of the original plate is made hydrophilic to make a plate. The ink composition used comprises a non-aqueous solvent having an electric resistance of not less than 10 9 Ωcm and a dielectric constant of not more than 3.5, a dispersion stabilizer and lipophilic resin particles, and the lipophilic resin particles have a dispersion stability. Is substantially insoluble in the non-aqueous solvent in the presence of the agent, and has a particle size of 500 n m or less, and the minimum film formation temperature (MFT) of the oil-sensitive image composition is less than 20 ° C. |
