PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous production method for producing an allylamine-based polymer in an organic solvent in a simple and high yield from various allylamines as raw materials. SOLUTION: In a medium containing an organic solvent, an addition salt of an allylamine is converted to a compound represented by the following general formulas (I) and (II): (Each symbol is as described in the specification.) An allylamine-based polymer is produced by polymerizing in the presence of at least one radical polymerization initiator selected from azo compounds represented by the following formula: |
