titleOfInvention | Plants belonging to Arabidopsis |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A plant essential for identifying and extracting a regulatory gene useful for regulating the balance of oleic acid, linoleic acid and α-linolenic acid as a whole with respect to the fatty acid composition of a plant. I will provide a. SOLUTION: By screening the root fatty acid composition from M2 seeds obtained by EMS treatment or fast neutron treatment of Arabidopsis seeds, FA Mutants in which the overall expression of D2 and FAD3 were suppressed were obtained. In the fatty acid composition of this root, not only α-linolenic acid decreased, but also linoleic acid decreased, and oleic acid increased. In this mutant, it is considered that the regulatory gene that positively regulates the expression of each gene of FAD2 and 3 is mutated. |
