titleOfInvention Charging device, image forming unit using the same, and image forming apparatus
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To prevent decay of an ionic conductive medium such as water, deterioration of an image carrier and generation of mold on peripheral members without affecting an image forming system at all. It is an object of the present invention to provide a charging device that exhibits good charging properties over a long period of time and has no problem in terms of environmental hygiene, an image forming unit using the same, and an image forming device. A charging member that holds a liquid ionic conductive medium and contacts the member to be charged, and stores the liquid ionic conductive medium, and stores the liquid ionic conductive medium. A liquid storage section for supplying to the charging member, wherein the liquid ionic conductive medium in the liquid storage section includes an inorganic compound containing one or more metal oxides or metal complexes, or any one of them. The problem was solved by configuring so that more than one kind is provided.
