abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a water-based water / oil repellent composition which has a high flash point even when an organic solvent is used, and which has high emulsification stability and excellent water / oil repellency. A polyfluoroalkyl group-containing monomer and a specific other comonomer are emulsion-polymerized in an aqueous medium containing at least one water-soluble organic solvent selected from glycol ether solvents to obtain a polyfluoroalkyl group. A water- and oil-repellent composition in which the contained polymer is emulsified and dispersed is obtained. |
