titleOfInvention Injectable catheters for therapeutic and diagnostic use
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a drug injection catheter for treatment and diagnosis. An operable catheter including a catheter body, a deflection control handle, a needle control handle, a tip, and a unit for deflecting the tip by operating the deflection control handle. A movable needle extends from the needle control handle, through the catheter body, and into the distal end. The injection needle extends from the distal end of the catheter by operating the catheter control handle. The catheter further includes a tip electrode attached to the distal end of the distal portion. An electrode lead wire is electrically connected to the tip electrode. The lead extends from the lumen at the distal end through the lumen of the catheter body into the deflection control handle. The infusion catheter further includes an electromagnetic mapping sensor located at the distal end of the catheter to provide positional information for the distal end.
