titleOfInvention Method for producing methacrolein
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a novel production method excellent in selectivity from isobutene or tertiary butanol to methacrolein. A catalyst containing molybdenum, bismuth, and iron is used, and a stoichiometric amount based on the total amount of isobutene or tertiary butanol which converts the amount of oxygen in a feed gas containing isobutene or tertiary butanol by a reaction is used. The isobutene or tertiary butanol is oxidized while keeping a small amount, and the catalyst in a reduced state by the reaction is regenerated by contacting with an oxidizing gas and used again in the reaction. Method for producing chlorane.
