(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To further suppress sulfur poisoning of a NO x storage material and maintain a high NO x purification rate even after a durability test. An overcoat layer made of Rh / ZrO 2 in which rhodium is supported on zirconia is formed at an end of a gas entering a NO x storage reduction catalyst. H 2 generated by Rh / ZrO 2 suppresses sulfur poisoning. |
