PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decompose NADH or the like into nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMNH) by contaminants in a measurement system involving a liquid reagent containing reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotides (NADH or the like). Methods and reagents for prevention are provided. SOLUTION: The decomposition prevention method comprises coexisting a chelating agent in a measurement system for bringing a liquid reagent containing NADH or the like into contact with a sample under conditions of pH 7.5 to 11; A chelating agent is allowed to coexist with a liquid reagent containing a decomposing contaminant and having a pH value of 7.5 to 11. The liquid reagent contains NADH and the like and a chelating agent, and has a pH value of 7.5 to 11. |
