titleOfInvention IMPROVEMENT IN THE PROCESSES FOR THE PHOTO-SENSITIZATION OF POLYOLEFINS AND CO-POLYOLEFINS BY INSERTION OF PHOTOLABLES AND RELATED PRODUCTS
abstract Process for modifying polyolefin-based elastomers of the EPR type, functionalized with succinic anhydride which, for further modification with compounds with high photochemical reactivity, containing at least one hydroxyl group, lead to the formation of a photopolymer capable of developing photoreticulation rerations with high efficiency. The EPR-g-SA (Fig. 1a) reacts with molecules containing thermal and photolabile bonds and an alcoholic functionality reacts with the grafted anhydride with formation of monoester. The results of the analysis show that the chemical modification aimed at the photosensitization of polyolefins and copoliolefins does not alter the thermal characteristics of the polymers. Technical field: preparation, composition and treatments for polymerization; application field: formulation of vulcanized products.
