A method for producing a liquid phase substance having a predetermined concentration of C02 for the calibration of analytical instruments such as blood gas analyzers involves preparing an aqueous solution with a precisely known title of a water-soluble salt of carbonic acid (hydrogen carbonate or alkaline carbonate), of starting said solution to a flow reactor containing a cationic ion exchange resin in hydrogenionic form, to make the aforementioned salt solution of the carbonic acid cross the aforementioned cationic resin to thus carry out the production reaction of a predetermined quantity of C02, of send the eluate thus obtained directly to the analytical instrument for calibration. |
