titleOfInvention ARTIFICIAL LEATHER WITH HIGH WATER VAPOR ABSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS AND DILATABILITY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD.
abstract Composition of artificial leather with high characteristics of water vapor absorption and wet expansion and dry contraction comprising a microcoagulated elastic polymeric matrix in which a water insoluble protein substance is dispersed and / or dissolved. Preferably, this polymeric matrix is polyurethane, and this protein substance is an amino acid, and preferably it is a gluten, from wheat or corn, or a soy protein, of the so-called "vital" type, that is, re-hydratable. The method of manufacturing the leather according to the invention includes the preparation of a fluid mixture formed by a polymer solution in which the protein substance is dispersed or dissolved, its application on an inert support, and the microcoagulation of the polymer mixture, with removal of the solvent with water, as per known technology.
