R1 = H, p-nitrophenoxy, halogen, carboxy, CON(R5,R6), CONH(CHR9)nCOOH, CH2NHR8 NH(CHR4)nAR10, CH=NOH, NO2, CHO, OR7; R5, R6, R7 = H, 1-8C alkyl, thiophene, imidazole, ascorbyl peptidyl having up to 5 aminoacids or a sugar radical; or NR5R6 = 5-membd. heterocyclic ring opt. contg. additional O or N atoms; R8 = acyl of a 1-4C aliphatic carboxylic acid; R4 = H or methyl; R10 = methyl or phenyl; A = CO or SO2; n = 1,2,3 or 4; R2 = H, NO2, halogen, CH(COOH)2 OH or (CH2)mCOOH; m = 0,1,2,3 or 4; R3 = H, NO2 or OH; R4 = H, NO2, halogen, SO2CH3, OH or N(R5,R6); provided at least 2 of R1,R2,R3,R4 are not H.
