abstract An information system comprises a computer, storage on the computer for files containing frames of information, a reader for the stored files and a signal transmitter to an output port of the computer. A modulator is connected to the output port of the computer for producing a modulated television carrier signal. A number of television receivers are connected to receive the modulated signal by way of a transmission link. A booster amplifier is provided in the transmission link to increase the strength of the output signal of the modulator. Two or more channels of information are transmitted to the television receivers. The computer storage comprises a magnetic hard disk.
