titleOfInvention PROCEDURE TO MEASURE THE REGENERATION TIME OF THE BLOOD PLATES AND DOSAGE DEVICE THAT MAY BE USED FOR THIS MEASURE
abstract The time required for blood platelet regeneration is calculated from measurements of platelet malonic dialdehyde in blood taken at various times after administration of a platelet cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor such as acetyl salicylic acid. Each blood sample is separated from red cells and the platelets counted turbidimetrically. The platelets are separated from plasma and, after inducing aggregation their malonic dialdehyde content is measured colorimetrically. The process may be carried out entirely automatically.
